i think keeping busy is the best (if only) cure for all this; the ultimate, underlying, always-looming sadness i don't think can ever go away. at least it never does for me, and i don't think it ever does for anyone else with a brain. it's sort of like learning to sleep by a ticking clock, a dripping faucet or a creaky fan.
one likes to include oneself in the category of those with brains. that way one gets, among other perks, the company of other misery, according to the theory presented.
